Background
Selected Experience:

1. Produced reports for Melbourne Airport to support case for the maintenance of a light-handed price regulation system, demonstrating operational and financial efficiency and low aeronautical charges  
2.  Advised local planning authority on demand aspects of the redevelopment of the former RAF Finningley as a civil airport .
3.  Production of regular publications comparing efficiency and charging levels at airports round the world and efficiency of airlines worldwide.  
4.  Advised Government of Barbados on an institutional structure for the creation of an airport authority, and on the air transport industry issues affecting the island.  
5.  Advised IATA on world best practice in financial and service performance at major airports.  
6.  Produced air traffic demand forecasts for South African Airports 2005 - 2020. 
7.  Assisted Sydney airport in its application to its regulators for a radical redesign of its aeronautical charge structure

Initial career, following graduation in 1974, with CAA. Experience in licensing and tariffs policy, followed by work as economist assessing tariff levels. Economic input to CAA:s submission to Monopolies and Mergers Commission on BA/BCal merger. Latterly, senior analyst of airline finances with responsibility for monitoring financial health of over 20 UK airlines. Entered consultancy in 1989, joined TRL in 1998 and Jacobs Consultancy in 2006..
