2. Legal representation at route license hearings. financial fitness requirements. domestic/foreign ownership requirements international Conventions on aviation. representations on takeovers, traffic distribution/slot allocation rules and noise requirements.
3 . Protective applications in relation to European Community competition rules to both the EC and English courts.
4. Advice to governments in relation to privatisations, bilateral air services agreements. EU association agreements. the regulation of air transport. aircraft registry issues and infrastructure.
5 . A General Counsel service to airlines.
Background
Law Degree (Honours) at Southampton University. Qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales in 1977. Partner in 1986. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Specialised initially in the taxation of structuring of domestic and international financing transactions (including aircraft and engines). From 1986, advised airlines. operators and financiers on a wide range of aviation related issues. Appointed Head of Aviation at Sinclair Roche and Temperley in 1995. PPL holder.
