ADVANTAGES OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership confers the prestige of associating with consultants who have direct access to the Aviation Ministry, the House of Lords, and aviation Regulatory Bodies such as the Civil Aviation Authority, the Joint Airworthiness Authority and the Federal Aviation Administration.

Register of Members
All Members details are reproduced in the members section of the BAAC Website and printed in the BAAC Register of Members which is distributed world-wide, for example, to embassies, governmental institutions and the aerospace industry as well as to all members.

The BAAC Website
The new BAAC Website at www.baac.org.uk provides each and every Member with the opportunity to promote themselves to the aviation industry world-wide with individual pages providing a direct copy of the Member's entry in the printed register. Links are provided, where appropriate, to the Member's own Website and/or e-mail address and, for a nominal charge, any Member may enhance his own Web Page.

In addition, the BAAC Website provides up-to-date news of the Association's social events.

Newsletter
The Association produces a regular newsletter containing a variety of news and information items for circulation to all members. It also provides an opportunity in which to advertise, make announcements or as a forum for technical debates.

Code of Conduct
Individual Members of the BAAC may claim the credibility of their adhering to a strict Code of Conduct.

Social Events
A number of events are organised each year for members and their gustes. The main event of the year is the Association's Annual Dinner with the House of Lords, St. John's Gate, The RAF Club and the Mansion House on the list of past venues. This is always a prestigeous event at which we present the Association's Gold Medal. If any non-members are interested in meeting us prior to considering membership, please contact us for an invitation.

Head Office
Our Head Office has now moved to
Queen Anne's Gate Buildings , London SW1H 9HP which is close to St James’s Park and the Houses of Parliament. All Council Meetings are held at our Head Office and rooms are available to our Members at competitive rates.

Special Awards
Candidates are nominated annually for the "Kate and Lawrie Wingfield" Award. Applicants are put forward by U.K. aviation institutions such as the Cranfield University. The Sir Peter Masefield Gold Medal Award is also made annually to a person who, in the opinion of the BAAC President, has made a significant contribution to the aerospace industry .
